  his presentation is "The American Legal Tradition." There will be a recep
 tion in the Davenport Rotunda immediately following the lecture.\n\n\nThis
  event is open to members of UGA Law community only. \n\n\nWhile on campus
 \, Judge Matey is serving as the B. Avant Edenfield Jurist in Residence\, 
 a position that enables one or more Article III judges to meaningfully eng
 age with members of the School of Law community each year. Edenfield was a
  longtime federal judge on the U.S. District Court for the Southern Distri
 ct of Georgia who earned both his bachelor’s and law degrees from UGA.
