Join us for an engaging event featuring a series of insightful sessions on intellectual property (IP) and its various applications across different industries.

Session 1: Unique Challenges in Agricultural IP Explore the unique considerations in agricultural IP practice, including the development of IP within the university system and its monetization in the private sector. This session will be led by Matt Hoots, a licensed patent attorney specializing in patent and trademark prosecution, who works with individual inventors and small businesses across various market verticals, including agriculture.

Session 2: Creative Review: A Pragmatic Approach for Legally Compliant Brands and Advertising Delve into the intersection of advertising law and compliance with trademarks, from both domestic and international perspectives. Anuj Desai, a partner at Arnall Golden Gregory, head of Trademarks, and a member of the International practice, will share his extensive experience in managing, safeguarding, and resolving disputes involving intellectual property assets.

Session 3: Copyrights and the Music Industry Gain insights into copyright law, the history of the music industry in the US, and current legal issues and controversies affecting the music business. Matthew Wilson, a partner at Arnall Golden Gregory and leader of the firm’s Sports and Entertainment Industry team, will lead this session, drawing on his expertise in transactional-based and intellectual property work in the entertainment industry.

The event will also include opportunities for networking during breaks and lunch, as well as opening and closing remarks to frame the day's discussions.
